Twitter in tranquility

I did not know what time it was in the late night. I could hear sounds of rain hitting metal shutter out of the windows and twitter of little birds. There were 2 big candles and my room was not bright at all. I was anti-photography and hated to think of taking photos of the tranquil moment.
Entered a ruind old church by the Kaunas Castle and it was slient inside. The church is open in summer and used for concerts and movies but for the origina purpose. A priest told that this church was occupied by the USSR after The World War II and they made many holes in the ceiling to hung and dry parachutes. It was also used as a store room.
I found a strange object by a big pillar and it was a dead pigeon put on a broken brick. The skeleton was upside down but looked so curious like a sculpture. The priest allowed me to take the remains and brick wawy, it looked just ordinary dead body under the sunlight but I was thinking of photosession with it in other dark places where must be so silent and I can hear its twitter.
深夜何時頃だったかはわからない。金属の雨戸を打つ雨音と小鳥のさえずりが聞こえた。二本の大きな蝋燭はあったが部屋は薄暗かった。私は写真なんてクソ喰らえという気持ちで、その平穏な時を撮影しようと考えるのが嫌でたまらなかった。
カウナス城のそばにある廃墟と化した教会に入ると、中は静まり返っていた。夏場に映画やコンサート会場としての利用があるらしいが、本来の目的には全く使われていない。司祭曰く、この教会は第二次大戦後ソ連に占有され、天井にいくつもの穴を開けて落下傘を乾燥させたそうだ。薬品倉庫としても使われたらしい。
大きな柱の脇に奇妙な物を見つけたが、それは割れた煉瓦の上に置かれた鳩の亡骸だった。その骸骨は上下が逆様だったが彫刻のように不思議に見えた。司祭の許可をもらってその遺骸と煉瓦を持ち帰ることにし、日光で見るそれは単なる死骸だったが、この鳩のさえずりが聞こえるどこか別の暗くて静かな場所で撮影してやろうと考えていた。
