Girl of the town: the legendary street prostitute

I have been living in Asakusa for 4 years and this town is full of strange people and urban legends. "Mini-Moni" the living legend I wrote in a privious article (http://kensakushioya.seesaa.net/article/26053972.html) is the one we always talk about and seek brave men to try her.
When I asked "Mini-Moni", the legendary aged street prostitute for a photo session she told me and my female friend that she was on TV several times and showed us cute posing. We all went to an very old and inexpensive "love-hotel" (motel for sexual use) and had 30 minute photo session.
...I also took video of this.
She did not tel us her name and anything about herself but I noticed she is from Kansai area because of her word "Ookini" (means "Thank you" in the area, not in Tokyo).
Yoshiwara, the next to Asakusa is the area of the high class prostitution and more dangerous for photography. I finally will try to take photos of the streets and people there in a few days. Walk through Yoshiwara and we enter the area of street people where I took tons of photos. I of course try there before I leave Japan in a week.
浅草に住んで４年になるが、ここは変わった連中や都市伝説の宝庫だ。以前紹介した高齢の街娼、生きる伝説ミニモニ（http://kensakushioya.seesaa.net/article/26053972.html）はいつも話題になるし、みんな彼女に挑む勇気のある野郎がいたらと思っている。
そのミニモニに写真撮影交渉をすると、私と女友達に向かってこれまでにテレビに出演した話をしながらかわいらしくポーズを決めて見せた。我々はすごく古くて異様に安いラブホテルに行き、３０分ほど撮影した。
・・・ビデオも撮影した。
彼女は名前など一切個人的なことを言わなかったが、「おおきに」という言葉からおそらく関西の人間であることは想像できた。
浅草の裏の吉原といえば、もっと高級で撮影にはさらに危険な売春地帯。ついに数日中に吉原の通りや人々の撮影に挑むことにした。吉原を歩いて抜けると、そこは散々写真を撮ってきた路上生活者のドヤ街。一週間後に日本を離れる前に、もちろんそこでも撮影してやるのさ。

Just in 2 weeks

It is about 1:00am of April 2nd, Monday and I am writing this at my friend's bar in Koenji. I stayed all day at a concert produced by Mr. Keishi Urata yesterday. I have finished most of works and will start packing for Lithuania. Just 2 weeks and I leave Japan.
Not sentimental at all, I just want to ride on an airplane as soon as possible and back to Old Town in Kaunas.
もうすぐ４月２日月曜日の午前１時、友人がやっている高円寺のバーでこれを書いている。昨日は浦田恵司氏プロデュースのコンサートに終日いた。これでほとんどの仕事を終えたので、リトアニアに向けての荷造りを始める。ちょうど二週間で日本を離れる。
感傷的な気持ちなんてかけらもなく、ただ一刻も早く飛行機に乗り込んでカウナスのオールドタウンに戻りたい。

Kojin and his selection

Photos of a house music event "It's All HOUSE 2007" organized by Muscle Boys last week. I have known Kojin, one of the DJs for 4 years, I also like his selection of music at the bar he works and there are some CDs in my collection from his selection. Not only for dance but also at work and chill out I enjoy the music with his favors.
I am playing "Cut To The Chase" by MJ COLE now and I played it so many times in the nights in Lithuania.
先週行われたMuscle Boysによるハウスミュージックイベント「It's All HOUSE 2007」からの写真を。DJの一人Kojinとはもう４年の知り合いで、彼が働いているバーでかけている彼の選曲も好きだし、ウチのコレクションにもそれをきっかけに購入したCDがいくつかある。踊るときだけではなく、仕事のときもチルアウトのときも彼の好みが入った曲を楽しんでいる。
今MJ COLEの「Cut To The Chase」を聴いているが、リトアニアの夜に何度かけたことだろう。

X-rated casserole

I finally could have a home party with friends at home in the season of casserole. The hot and spicy casserole with kimuchi, seafoods, vegitables, pork and special secret "X-rated" spices and liquids was nice in the cold night. My lovery Paprika also joined and enjoyed some nice bottles of shochu and oolong tea and I think she will miss such Asian fusion tastes in Lithuania.
ようやく鍋の季節にウチでパーテーを開催。キムチ、魚介類、野菜、豚肉それに「１８歳未満お断りの、あんな秘密の粉やこんなとんでもない液体」満載の鍋は寒い夜にピッタリ。愛しのPaprikaもうまい焼酎や烏龍茶を堪能していたが、リトアニアでこういうアジアのごった煮味を食べられなくてくやしい思いをするに違いない。

Primitive colours are the images of Amerika for me. My own reality of Amerika is much more vivid and complicated.
原色が自分にとってのアメリカのイメージ。私自身が持ち合わせているアメリカの現実はもっと色鮮やかで複雑。

The other side of my photography: Facts with blood

From my old photos again. Even death reveals hidden personality, blood plays a role of the fact. I played a role of coughing out and sampling blood for coagulation with fun, and my blood from mouth slowly faded in to the wings.
今回も古い写真から。死が隠された人格を露にしても、血は事実の役を演じる。凝固反応を楽しむために血を吐いて提供する役を演じたが、口から出た血はゆっくりと舞台の袖に消えていった。
